96 % reduction of Fat in a Tromsø Pumpstation

Independent testing in Tromsø has shown a positive effect of the BioVital product at the Tromsø municipality’s pump station.

Testing was completed in conjunction with a bachelor’s thesis for the Department of Building, Energy and Material Technology at the University in Tromsø.

Experience

• After the process was established, the results were achieved quickly
• Scope of maintenance drastically reduced, flushing and cleaning of the pump station became almost entirely redundant
• The fat did not accumulate as before, and became dislodged by simple flushing
• Rapid improvement of working conditions, reduction of gas
• Operators were very satisfying with the reduction in order (almost ordorless after a week of operation), absence of gas, and generally more enjoyable working environment

The results show improvements in almost all areas

• The water tests show a 48 times reduction in fat with the use of the biocatalyst.
• The pump station’s operating hours were reduced by half, compared to the same period in 2019.
• The pump station had an increased flow of 1.25 m³/kWh per. day, compared to the same period in 2019

Conclusion: The product proved highly effective over a short period.
