About Us
BioVital is a biotechnology company that has developed solutions for cleaner emissions, reducing fat, phosphorus, and nitrogen in water and wastewater. Our products stimulate microbial activity in water in a natural way, without adding new bacteria or enzymes. Our results are better water quality, reduction of smell, and reduced operating costs for both private and public customers.
We work with private and public customers throughout Norway, and we deliver solutions that can scale from small local projects to larger industrial processes.

BioVital’s work supports several of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals:
SDG6: Clean Water and Sanitation – by improving cleaning and reducing industrial discharge to rivers, lakes, fjords, and Oceans.
SDG12: Responsible Consumption and Production – by replacing chemical processes with natural biological processes
SDG14: Life Below Water – by combating eutrophication and protecting marine ecosystems against phosphorus and nitrogen pollution.
Our goal is to contribute to a more circular and sustainable water management system, where nature’s own processes can be relied on to fix man-made problems.

BioVital consists of an interdisciplinary team with expertise in biotechnology, water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as environmental management. We combine operation experience with research-based knowledge, and we work closely with our customers to find solutions that deliver measurable results.
